In an interview with Music Week, songwriter Steve Robson revealed that Christina's latest single "Just a Fool," which he co-wrote with Claude Kelly and Wayne Hector, was originally recorded by Adam. "We wrote it to pitch to Pink and it went immediately on hold, but ultimately was cut by Adam Lambert. At the last minute it didn't fit the record so it came back to us," said Robson. The song landed on Christina's seventh studio album Lotus as a duet with Blake Shelton, her fellow coach on The Voice. They debuted the song on an episode of The Voice, which you can watch in the video below.
Cue weeping of the Glamberts for the injustice of not being able to hear Adam's beautiful voice on this song. How awesome would it have been if Adam had been the one to duet with Christina?! *sigh*
