Adam Lambert is among one the guests to appear at Cyndi Lauper & Friends: Home for the Holidays 2012, a benefit concert to help raise awareness about lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth homelessness. Lambert joins other top celebs to appear, including Sarah McLachlan, Whoopi Goldberg, and Roberta Flack to name a few.
Cyndi Lauper & Friends: Home for the Holidays is an event to support the True Colors Fund's Forty to None Project. Lauper, a longtime advocate for the gay and transgender community and equality, co-founded the True Colors Fund in 2008 and the organization's Forty to None Project this past summer. The goal is to raise awareness about the homeless youth that identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender and develop resources to help these young people, most of whom are homeless due to family conflict.
Since becoming a well-known celebrity, Adam Lambert has shown a lot of support for LGBT youth. He created an "It Gets Better Video" and donated proceeds from his Aftermath single and a special "Peace Pendant" to The Trevor Project. In turn, Adam has inspired his fans to help this community as well.
Cyndi Lauper & Friends: Home For the Holidays will be held on Saturday, December 8th at New York City's historic Beacon Theatre. Tickets will be available at LiveNation.com starting on Friday, October 26th and range from $35 - $150.
