Is Adam Lambert on his way to becoming the greatest American Idol?

According to USA today Adam Lambert was the only American Idol to see his single sales increase. He has sold 659,000 copies of his hit single "If I Had You" and over the holiday season so far the sales for that single have risen 22%. Is Adam Lambert on his way to becoming the greatest American Idol?

Of course it is too soon to tell if Adam Lambert will eventually become the most successful American Idol of all time but he is well on his way and it sure is fun to talk about the possibility.

Lambert is the most charismatic and sexy idol so far. He may also be the most talented as well although that is up for debate and you could make the argument that Carrie Underwood is just as talented but we aren't here to argue who has the most talent, we are here to ponder the question of whether or not Adam Lambert is soon to be the greatest American Idol to date.

It appears that Lambert doesn't get the credit he deserves and surely doesn't get the same attention that Underwood and Kelly Clarkson receive. He is also being shut out of the Grammys for reasons unbeknownst to me. The only reason I can think of for this lack of media attention is that fact that he is gay and people are discriminating against him for how he acts on stage. This is simply not fair but that is a topic for a different day.

What we want to know is;

Do you think Adam Lambert will eventually go down as the greatest American Idol or do you think discrimination against him will hold him and his career back?
