If you like a singer’s style or the songs they write, what difference does the artist’s sexual preference make?
Although the answer — none! — seems like a no-brainer, public fascination with the issue suggests that there are people for whom it is still a big deal. Consider, for example, the media frenzy last year when Adam Lambert confirmed rumors that, yes, he is gay.
“I didn’t want to be living a lie or trying to hide something and constantly being worried about being discovered — it goes against my principles,” Lambert said recently, calling en route to Hong Kong and another leg of his intercontinental “Glam Nation” tour.
Hawaii gets two nights of “Glam Nation” next week when Lambert plays a two-nighter in the Blaisdell Concert Hall. (The Monday night show is sold out.)

Adam Lambert’s “Sleepwalker” Single Makes Canadian Radio Debut
This morning, Adam Lambert’s new single, “Sleepwalker” debuted on Canadian radio station CHUM FM in Toronto. Even fans across the US tuned in online, joining Canadian fans in hearing Sleepwalker on the radio for the first time. Sleepwalker was debuted on the Saturday morning "Chum Chart Top 30" and will be played again Sunday during the Chum Chart Top 30 at 7:00pm. The DJ introduced the song:
“I do believe I’ve left you in suspense long enough….Check it out, Chum Chart Top 30 up and comer, Sleepwalker!”
According to a CHUM FM phone representative, they are hoping the song will eventually be added to their regular radio rotation. She said to keep requesting it because that will help to get the song added into the rotation. She said that so far, the response to Sleepwalker has been great and they have received many requests to hear it again. The radio station also tweeted:
"We debuted Adam Lambert's new track on the CHUM Chart Top 30 this morning... SO many tweets now! AMAZING! Thanks everyone! -Pina :)"
Canadian fans can join the CHUM FM Survey Panel to “Pick the Hits on CHUM FM.” The station says on their website that:
“CHUM FM is your fully interactive radio station. We need your help in choosing the music we play. Just visit our Pick The Hits section and tell us how you feel about the songs you hear on CHUM FM. No other station allows you access to their playlist like we do!”
Of course there is no guarantee that Lambert’s Sleepwalker will be on the survey, but eventually it might, providing a great opportunity for you to help pick this as a hit.

Even Adam Lambert needs a break from being fabulous now and then.
The American Idol fave, who performed at Sydney, Australia's Enmore Theatre on Wednesday night, looked positively nondescript at the Sydney Airport on Thursday, with only his black nail polish hinting that this is a man who routinely thrills and occasionally disturbs mass audiences with his incendiary live performances.

Same same- Sydney fans seek Glambert kisses
It was naughty fun for Adam Lambert at his Glam Nation show in Sydney’s Enmore Theatre last night as he got intimate with a fan in the front row.
After behaving himself during last week’s concert in Malaysia – where homosexuality is illegal – Glambert was keen to let his hair down in Oz.
Mid-way through his energetic live show, the singer hopped down into the crowd and looked around for a suitable fan to lip-lock with.
A young shirtless blond dude was eager to get close to the American Idol star, and the crowd cheered as they kissed while his mates jealously looked on.
Another young fan in the front row later told Same Same that he’d also been keen for a kiss. “He looked at me at the start of the show as I was cheering so I was hoping he’d see me when he was looking for kisses – I was right up at the front!”
But candid tweets from our favourite Olympic diver Matthew Mitcham during the concert suggest Glambert was hoping to suck face with him, too.
“Sorry Adam, I had a boyfriend… didn’t mean to be rude,” Mitcham tweeted after the singer’s attentions were rebuffed. “Adam’s concert is about love and having that special someone to share it with. Which I have. Sorry.”
Last night’s concert was fun for hundreds of Lambert fans, many of them dressed in glam outfits, with glitter and makeup. The singer treated the crowd to all the songs from his debut album For Your Entertainment as well as covering Placebo’s 20th Century Boy for the encore.
The show’s star was later seen partying upstairs at gay hotspot Stonewall on Oxford Street.
Lambert now heads to Brisbane for Friday’s show at The Tivoli.
