At least that's what one US photographer claimed about Adam Lambert just last week.
According to US entertainment website TMZ, the photographer told Miami police that the 28-year-old US pop singer grabbed his backpack carrying his camera and 'wrestled (the photographer) to the ground forcefully'.
But the American Idol 8 runner-up displayed none of that alleged misdemeanour at yesterday afternoon's press conference.
He was friendly and accommodating, despite a jetlag.
Perhaps that was also why he made a hasty exit even though local fans had waited nearly two hours for him on Friday afternoon when he arrived after a 20-hour flight from Los Angeles via Hong Kong.
The multi-octave singer, who had already put up a show last night, will be performing at the 2010 Formula 1 SingTel Singapore Grand Prix this evening.
When The New Paper on Sunday asked him about the allegations, the singer explained: 'I was kicking back at Miami beach with some friends. I posed for the photographers and was patient for the first 45 minutes. I even gave them the peace sign.
'Then they kept multiplying like cockroaches when I'd already told them to stop. (That photographer) provoked me by saying something I'd rather not repeat, but it was horrible.
'There were no punches thrown. He never touched the ground. I'm not that violent.'
Charges dropped
Lambert added that charges have been dropped.
When asked about American Idol, the US reality TV singing contest which catapulted him to fame last year, he said the judges are not to blame for the public's waning interest in the show.
US singers Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler of rock band Aerosmith are the new judges of the ailing show, which has seen its ratings fall after its peak in 2006.
US music producer Randy Jackson is the only original judge left in the show after the departures of Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, Kara DioGuardi and Ellen DeGeneres.
He said: 'I hope the producers will go out on a limb this year to bring in contestants who are spicier.'
If he were asked to be a guest judge on the show, Lambert said he'd be honoured but would do it for only one episode.
'I had fun mentoring (the contestants) this year but I'd rather focus on my career right now.'
Lambert is riding high on his success, despite coming in second in Idol.
Sales for his debut album For Your Entertainment (2009) during its first week were more than double that of Idol 8 winner Kris Allen in the same period.
Last year, he was Young Hollywood Awards' Artist of the Year.
In February, Lambert beat US tween star Nick Jonas and R&B singer Justin Timberlake to top Billboard magazine's Top 10 Sexiest Men in Music, according to pollsters.
Jonas was second and Timberlake came in fourth.
He said he didn't know about the poll.
'I'm obviously flattered. I've never thought of myself as sexy. I was the fat and awkward kid in school. It's only in recent years that I've begun to feel sexy and beautiful, and I realise that comes from the inside.'
Lambert, who's known for his theatrical stage persona, joked about naming his F1 team The Glitz and decking the car with glitter and rhinestones.
In real life, he's gearing up to buy a new Maserati to replace his Ford Mustang.
Asked to pick his favourite team to win Singapore's night race, Lambert made a practical decision.
'I'll root for whichever team that's going to give me a new car.'

Adam Lambert announces more fan website news
Adam Lambert has taken to his official Twitter account to make a new announcement regarding his new fan website. A few weeks ago the official website for fans was launched, and now, according to the singer himself, the fans will have yet another new cite -- on Twitter.
Lambert writes to the fans: "Also, my fansite now has a twitter: @adamlambertfans."
This will likely be another great source for his fans to stay up-to-date on any and all things Adam Lambert. The performing has been singing throughout the summer, and now that we are in fall, he is touring abroad, and selling-out shows internationally as well. The fans overseas have been clamoring for the opportunity to see him perform live, and now, many are seeing their hopes fulfilled.
The Glam Nation tour has been highly successful for the singer. His songs continue to perform well on the charts, and it is obvious that the singer has truly reached a new level of success -- one that he has worked hard to attain. The fans recognized his potential for stardom from the moment he first stepped foot on the American Idol stage, and he is now living the life that the fans knew awaited him.

Adam Lambert’s concert at the Singapore Grand Prix
25 September 2010, Singapore – American Idol Season 8 sensation is in Singapore for LG Live concerts as part of the Formula One race.
I was having lunch before the press conference with friends from Philippines who are crazy fans of Adam Lambert. They and other fans from the Philippines are waiting eagerly for his concert in October.
At the press conference held this afternoon with international and local media, Adam came in cool and dressed in his signature look – black jacket and pants and chains, bangles and rings.
I asked Adam what fans can expect from his concert tonight and tomorrow night at the Formula One race.
This is what Adam had to say to fans ” Expect a good time with lots of smiling and humour. The concert is expected to be filled with camp, inspired dancing, lots of singing along and feeling good.”. And, of course, not forgetting “lots of fun”.
Adam performs tonight at 1130pm at Zone 4 – LG Live at the 2010 Formula 1 Singtel Singapore Grand Prix Padang Stage and tomorrow at 540pm at Zone 1 – Village stage.

Under singer Adam Lambert's hood is a genuine car geek
You might not think it from looking at the cover of Adam Lambert's debut album For Your Entertainment, but under the glam-rock trappings lies a normal, albeit very talented, guy. The singer-songwriter, who is currently on his Asian leg of the Glam Nation tour, will be performing at the Formula 1 Grand Prix on Sept 25 at the Padang stage and Sept 26 at the Zone 1 Stage.
Which is quite fitting really, as Lambert is a bit of a car geek. When the runner-up to 2009's American Idol was awarded a car of his choice by the show's sponsor, Ford, Lambert tellingly chose a black Mustang Convertible. (Winner Kris Allen on the other hand, chose a hybrid sedan.) We asked Lambert what makes him vroom.
What's the deal with the convertible?
Well, cars are fun, I think they're cool! They're not a serious extra-curricular interest but I like them. I got the car from Ford for being on American Idol of course, but it's still very cool, nonetheless.
What's your dream car?
I really want to get a Maserati. I love the lines and the design, although I haven't had a chance to test drive one just yet. I'll probably do it when I finally get home to Los Angeles, then I'll finally get to see how yummy it feels to try one!
That's got a V8 just like the Mustang Convertible GT…
And I'll always take a V8 engine over a four-cylinder, of course, because they sound better and they're a lot more fun to drive!
How do you feel about coming to
Singapore to perform for the F1 concert?
I'm very excited, and it's going to be a lot of fun. I hear there are going to be a lot of other artistes there, so actually I'm hoping to be able to observe other performances. And I'm excited to bring my music to the people of Singapore and to basically have a good time! DERRYN WONG

What a great surprise to the beginning of autumn, we are looking forward already to an award, but two - that is really incredible! The artists that we have considered this time, each with a golden CD are Train, whose "Hey, Soul Sister," not only in Hesse became a huge hit, and Adam Lambert. And especially with Adam, we are particularly pleased because hr3 was one of only three radio stations in Germany, which have to be "Whataya Want From Me" and thought it added to the program. The result: More than 150,000 copies sold in Germany! As our music department had the right nose again!
Both awards will of course get a respectable place in our collection. Thank you also to take this opportunity to train and Adam Lambert!
