Adam Lambert at BJ’s after the show

When you’re a young, gay pop icon and done with your concert around 11 p.m., you wanna go out to a gay bar, right? Adam Lambert sure does. He tweeted last night, wondering what to do after his performance at the Palladium. What did he end up doing? Going out to BJ’s NXS! on Fitzhugh, natch.

Photographer Erick Alsing took these pix of Lambert, who arrived around 1 a.m. and partied until last call, hanging out and, obviously, letting himself be photographed with the staff.

Hey, it might not be Lady Gaga at the Round-Up, but it’s pretty cool.

Adam and a little Glamfangirl =)

Adam Lambert Makes Out With Jake Shears, Katy Perry Watches

In the latest Scissor Sisters news update, we get a peak at Adam Lambert getting hot and heavy with Jake Shears.

Talk about a couple made in gay heaven! We're officially jealous of Lambert for getting to make out with Mr. Jake Shears, and of Katy Perry for witnessing the whole thing even if it was all a joke.

In the latest episode of Scissor Sisters news, Lester Zizmore presents us with 'exclusive footage' of Glambert getting hot and heavy with the band's frontman Jake Shears, as Katy Perry looks horrified and screams 'Caught.' Funny stuff!

Check the steamy video below!

Adam Lambert in NZ

Hot off the tail-end of his US tour, glam-pop revivalist, Adam Lambert, is making an anticipated visit to New Zealand with a full-tilt show resplendent with glitter, leather and melodrama at Trusts Stadium on Sunday 17th October in Auckland.

Since the announcement of Lambert’s string of Australian shows only weeks ago, the response from our New Zealand league of Glamberts has been overwhelming. So much so that when the majority of tickets for shows were snapped up during the pre-sales for the Australian shows, conversations immediately began between promoters and management about what arrangements could be made to reach out to more fans.

Lambert’s trajectory to stardom began less than two short years ago when he reached runner up in the eighth season of American Idol. Proving that the winner does not necessarily take it all, he has gone on to blaze the trail for left-of-centre performers the world over with his neo-glam irreverence and vocal virtuosity, receiving far more attention than his castmates during the months following the conclusion of the series.

Audiences can expect to see an audio-visual spectacular, both theatrical and atmospheric, when Lambert takes the stage with his playful melodrama conjuring up nods to Sixties psychadelia, Seventies disco and Eighties glam-goth. With a voice that has the falsetto extension and flamboyance of Freddie Mercury and the neon-bright stage presence of the Scissor Sisters, this newly minted pop star is set to be a swooping phenomenon.

Adam Lambert’s world-wide tour

Adam Lambert’s world tour will be stopping by Malaysia, it has been announced.

Thesundaily.com have reported that Marctensia and Sony Music have organised the Adam Lambert Glam Nation Tour Live in Malaysia, which will take place this 14th Oct.

“I hope the audience will be able to escape for a few hours into a world full of glam, drama and excitement,” said Lambert.

“I’m confident we’ve put together a show far beyond the price of the ticket. I’m looking forward to connecting with fans all across the world with this show.”

The Asian leg of Lambert’s Glam Nation Tour will stop by Kuala Lumpur, Hongkong and Manila for Southeast Asia before continuing in Australia and New Zealand.

We are desperate for Adam to bring his tour over here, so that UK fans can appreciate his live show. A few UK dates would also contribute towards getting Adam the recognition he deserves, by making the public more aware of his music – we’re still baffled by the number of Brits who have no idea who Adam is!

Adam Lambert taking off to Malaysia

Adam Lambert has his next major gig booked for the Glam Nation Tour, even though there are not a ton of details available about the concert just yet. According to a new report, the "American Idol" singer is set to perform in Malaysia on October 14. We don't know the exact venue in Kuala Lumpur yet, but it should be announced soon.

In a statement, Adam had this to say to potential concert-goers:

"I hope the audience will be able to escape for a few hours into a world full of glam, drama and excitement.

"I’m confident we’ve put together a show far beyond the price of the ticket. I’m looking forward to connecting with fans all across the world with this show."

Adam will be spending most of October traveling throughout Asia and Australia. Current dates include a handful of concerts in Japan, a performance in Hong Kong, and even a stop in Singapore for two days.

‎'Idol' runnerup Adam Lambert plays Peoria

PEORIA — Don't let the black makeup scare you.

There's glitter underneath, in the hair and on the clothes of the "Glamberts" - the moniker for fans of the season eight "American Idol" runner-up Adam Lambert.

False eyelashes, glitter eye shadow, big hair and black spandex were aplenty outside the Peoria Civic Center on Sunday as fans waited outside tour buses to catch a glimpse of the similarly-styled pop star and his band before he performed in front of a sold-out crowd.

For Holly and Sara Belmont of Justice, a southwestern suburb of Chicago, it was the fourth time seeing Lambert in concert. The mother and daughter said they've been fans of him since his "Idol" audition.

"First of all, he's hot," said Sara, 18, who thinks Lambert is reminiscent of Queen frontman Freddie Mercury. "And then he opened his mouth and it was like, 'Oh my God.'"

Mom agrees.

"Just the voice," Holly, 52, said pausing to shake her head, "is outrageous."

And it seems fans will do just about anything to be in the presence of that voice.

Kirsten Izatt, 43, of Wheaton once drove more than 1,000 miles between back-to-back Friday and Saturday shows in Michigan to pick up her 13-year-old daughter, Kelley. Kirsten and Kelley Izatt have been to six and three shows, respectively, and paid for Lambert's meet and greet before Sunday's show.

"I grew up on a lot of fun, male entertainers, and that's why I like Lambert," Kirsten Izatt said. "It's great how he's taken his shows to all these small towns."

Going to towns like Peoria and snubbing larger cities like Chicago often means more traveling, but as a member of Glam Nation, fan Samantha Powell said that people are more than happy to give fellow Glamberts a ride.

Fans also are very active on Twitter and live-tweet the concert for other fans to see, said Powell, 24, of Lafayette, Ind.

"It's the devotion to Adam. . . . They see him for the first time and they go to six or seven (more) shows," she said.

Openly-gay Lambert's eyecatching style and, at times, racy acts, like kissing a male keyboardist at the 2009 American Music Awards, often make headlines, but fans keep coming back for more because of his raw talent and positive message. Lambert's song, "If I Had You" off his album "For Your Entertainment" has spent 10 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 list.

"(It's) all about love and being who you are and seeing what's good in other people," said Powell.

This message seems to span all ages. Mary Kay Winebrenner, 67, of Wheaton held a sign that read "Grandmothers 4 Glamberts" outside the Civic Center.

"I knew from the beginning he was going somewhere," said Winebrenner, of Lambert's "Idol" days. "I can listen to him sing the phone book."

Adam Lambert in Rolling Stone Calendar

Adam Lambert in the 2011 Rolling Stone Calendar for the month

Adam Lambert falls on VH1, constant on MuchMore

In this week's recap of Adam Lambert's position on music video charts, we have both some good news for fans north of the border and also some sad news here in the States. However, even with that comes some encouragement for the future.

Let's start with the "American Idol" singer's performance on MuchMore's "MM Top Ten" in Canada, where "If I Had You" is still sitting an #2 despite being on the charts all summer. What is this proving? More than anything, perseverance. It is a sign of just how devoted Adam's fans are to the song, and how willing they are to continue voting week after week in order to get it to the top. This effort has certainly paid off, as "If I Had You" is now officially a top ten hit north of the border.

Meanwhile, on VH1's Top 20 Countdown the song fell six places all the way to #15. While there are some fans upset about this news, we could also look at it as a ceremonial passing of the torth. Every song is bound to fall at one point or another, and maybe this is merely time to get ready for Adam's next single and accompanying video. The only difficult part of the equation is figuring out when Adam (in the midst of this Glam Nation Tour) is going to have the time to shoot a video for "Sleepwalker," "Aftermath," or whatever he decides to put on the radio next.
